Fire, Fire!

This past Monday we had "Night of Honor" at our church to honor all public safety personnel. There were over 100 public safety officers- mainly sheriff, police, and fire but also included were EMT, park police, etc. It was a great night to pay tribute to them in the name of the Lord. The only bummer was the overcast day- brrrrr. But after the program was over we were able to see all the neat trucks and equipment (bomb truck with detonator, haz mat "Home Depot" on wheels, fire engines, and control centers, you name it- it was there. The police and firefighters like showing off all there toys. The girls were able to go inside and tour everything and play tiller man (the one who drives the back end of the ladder truck) and firefighter as they wore helmets, and those awfully heavy fire jackets. Ashlyn even had to be physically removed from the tiller man seat as she thought she needed to drive the truck home.
