Gilroy Gardens

Two weeks ago we had the opportunity to visit Gilroy Gardens (Gilroy is the garlic capital) which is outside dowtown Gilroy nestled in the hills. It is a garden that encompasses an amusement park for kids 2-8 or so. Great for Rayah and even Ashlyn could ride most of the rides (if I rode along too). It was so much fun as we opened and closed the park with our friends, Lisa, Emily, and Hannah. Along with the rides, and the beautiful flowers were lots of trees some of which are called Circus Trees. About 100 years ago a Swedish man started playing with sycamore trees and created these amazing "trunk-shaped" trees of which only 20 or so remain. The kids looked for them all over the park- the one below is aptly named "the arch".
