If you are anything like me there comes a time when the whole political process seems like a waste of time. Broken promises, flip-flopping agendas, and speeches catering to our pocketbooks are just some of the frustrations that I feel during election years. Well friends, let me introduce you to Brad Hughes, candidate for Congress in Georgia's 2nd district.
Brad is a recent graduate of Southern Seminary, a dear friend of the Miller family [he was Ashlyn's very first visitor in the hospital], and a deeply committed follower of Jesus Christ. Brad is entering the political arena not because he has all of the answers to the world's problems [although I must say he does have some strong opinions about most of them :)], but because he is convinced in his soul that a commitment to biblical truth is the only way to bring about true and lasting change.
I would encourage you today to do the following:
- Check out the website for Brad's campaign
- Read about what the Lord is teaching Brad on his campaign blog
- Pray for Brad as the election approaches
- If you are able, support candidates like Brad
