In late August we took a long weekend trip up to Twain Harte and stayed in a friend's cabin with the Miller Family (the Steve Miller fam- no relation but GREAT friends). We spent one day on Lake (reservoir ) New Melones (sp?) tubing, swimming and riding around in Uncle Steve's boat, one day going down to Jamestown and riding one of the last steam trains around and seeing gold country (where the gold rush all began) and sometime around Twain Harte just enjoying the big trees and natural beauty.

Ashlyn and her belly on the train. As we rode the train we paralleled a creek for a bit and in that creek the most gold was found. Just 10 years ago someone found a 66 pound "nugget" of gold....CRAZY!
